Wright Administration Theme and Scripture

The theme for this administration, symbolized by three intertwined circles, is: "Preserve the Past, Enhance the Present, Invest in the Future." The core values of the twelve Executive Officers are to interact with integrity, honesty accompanied by kindness, loyalty, and courtesy, respect for one another, and with a sense of humor and the ability to have fun.

The Goals of the Wright Administration Are To:

  • Strengthen the Membership
  • Improve Financial Stability
  • Increase Awareness of DAR Objectives and Programs

Wright Administration Scriptures:

"And now these three remain: faith, hope, and love. But the greatest of these is love." -- I Corinthians 13:13

"...and what does the Lord require of you but to do justice, to love kindness, and to walk humbly with your God." -- Micah 6:8

President General's Project

In 2010 an update of the extensive conservation assessment done in 2005 of our headquarters identified the next phases of repairs and restoration work needing to be accomplished on our beautiful complex of three buildings over the next six years. The President General's Project, "Preserve the Past, Enhance the Present, Invest in the Future," was approved by the National Board of Management on July 11, 2010, and will be ratified by Congress in 2011. Work will begin immediately on addressing these additional needs at our NSDAR national headquarters in Washington, D.C.

In addition to this historic preservation our own buildings, securing new members and education and training for members and current leaders will comprise a second facet of the President General’s Project. The third goal of the administration, to increase awareness of DAR objectives and programs, will provide grants in local communities to support initiatives that promote historic preservation, education, and patriotism.
